St. John's UCC was founded by the German-speaking settlers of Coopersburg who made their town an agricultural and transportation center at the end of the 19th Century. Like this area of Pennsylvania, American "mainstream" churches and the wider community, much has changed at St. John's since then. However, in the midst of all that is new, St. John's is committed -- "all-in," to use the term we like -- to transforming and renewing this church to a thriving future. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us. Central to St. John's past, present and future is service to Jesus Christ. In plain words, this is His church, And that thought is born out in our mission statement: "To know and share the love of God through worship, fellowship and outreach to the community." Worship here is contemporary, warm and even surprising. A genuine feeling of family lifts us up during good times and dries our tears during the bad. Finally, St, John's has a record of unmatched leadership in ministering to the community.
